I am 24 weeks pregnant and feeling much better this week. I have read that pregnant woman go through a bluesy period and that it is normal. This is my second pregnancy and I feel like this one it SO different from the last. With my first pregnancy I was working 40+ hours per week until the 8th month of pregnancy. I did not really have time to think about what was going on with the pregnancy. But this time around I am home with our 2 year old and I feel everything. Including the blues. One thing that helped to break out of the blues was doing things I love. For example, reading and working out. I slowed down the working out due to some events at the gym and also the 3+ feet of snow that we received a few weeks ago. Anyways, I am feeling great now and back to blogging 🙂 I am starting back at working out, getting my cardio in and making homemade meals again. I am hoping to catch up with the workouts and slow weight gain down. It is really hard to not gain a lot of weight when I have a few things going against me, including family genes. Ugh! I am not the type of pregnant lady that feels glorious in pregnancy and hate gaining weight. It is healthy for the baby but gaining weight is not a “fun” feeling. That is where the main blues come from. I will overcome this and be as healthy as I can and thank The Lord that this is the last pregnancy for me. Two boys will be just perfect for us.
I have a few questions for you moms out there:
Did you get the blues while pregnant? How long did it last? And what did you do to overcome it?
